When Manifestation Turns Into Monitoring

Do you remember being a child and hearing, “We’re leaving in five minutes”?

You would go play for thirty seconds, come back, and ask:

“Has it been five minutes yet?”

Then you would do it again.

Lately, I’ve been noticing how often we do something similar with manifestation.

We express a desire to God, Spirit, the Universe, or whatever language feels right to us. Then we begin checking:

Was that a sign?

Is it happening?

Did I ask correctly?

Am I blocking it?

I don’t think there is anything bad or wrong about this. Often, the part of us that keeps checking is simply looking for reassurance.

It wants to know:

Was I heard?

The invitation is not to judge ourselves for checking. It is to notice when desire begins turning into monitoring and gently return to the way we want to participate in life.

Maybe that is through openness, curiosity, joy, peace, or wonder.

Not because we need to perform the perfect emotional state to make something happen, but because that is how we want to meet the life that is already here.

In this video, I explore the difference between desire and monitoring, why every emotion is still welcome, and the deeper question underneath our need to keep checking:

Can I trust the space between asking and knowing what comes next?
