You Can Choose Again: Returning to Peace

You Can Choose Again
Sometimes peace doesn’t come from finally figuring everything out.
It comes in the moment we become willing to choose again.
I’ve noticed how quickly the mind can convince us that peace is waiting on the other side of an answer.
Once I understand this.
Once I know what to do.
Once I feel certain.
Then I’ll be able to relax.
But peace doesn’t always arrive through certainty.
Sometimes it begins with a pause.
A breath.
A softening.
A willingness to stop following the same fearful thought for one moment.
Choosing again doesn’t mean denying what you feel.
It doesn’t mean pretending you’re not afraid, frustrated, overwhelmed, or confused.
It simply means recognizing that the thought you’re currently following may not be the only thought available to you.
You can pause and ask:
Is this thought leading me toward fear or peace?
Am I trying to force an answer because uncertainty feels unsafe?
What would become possible if I stopped trying to solve this for one moment?
You don’t have to force peace.
You don’t have to prove that you’re healed, spiritual, or certain.
You don’t have to make the perfect choice.
You can simply become willing to choose again.
And if fear returns, you can choose again.
If the old story rises, you can choose again.
If you forget, you can remember again.
Peace is not asking you to get it right forever.
It is inviting you back to this moment.
Again and again.
