When we are told don't think of a pink elephant we usually think of the pink elephant, we sometimes try to do this with our awareness we try to say don't think about this or Don't think about that but we inevitably do end up thinking about it .


We oftentimes get stuck or wallow in what we could call unaligned emotional states this is not to say you don't feel or you repress but instead, it is to say you give yourself the time to process, and as you do you begin to shift your awareness not to love and light and joy because there are very few people who could do that.


What we can do is start shifting as quickly or as slowly as we need to to the next emotional state or shifting to a higher or different way of viewing our situation. This way you are not playing the pink elephant game but instead giving yourself an opportunity to feel the process but not wallow or stay stuck.
