I like to think of our ability to change our minds as our ability to adapt. If we are willing to open our minds to a new way of seeing or thinking about something we can adapt to any new situation that we may find ourselves in.

The problem we have is sometimes we get so stuck in dogman or redirect or even our own sense of being right that we change seems so hard that changing our minds or being open to other views would be a direct attack on ourselves. We have to be a little more fluid.

This does not mean we believe everything it does mean we give the idea a chance we look at it with an objective eye instead of a subjective one and allow ourselves to see what nuggets of gold it holds for us and leave the rest.
