Even in the dark spirit leads you with its light
ven in the moments we feel lost, alone, or in the dark, Spirit always provides a pathway out.
It leaves us a trail of breadcrumbs to follow, helping us return to center or align with what will move us in the right direction.
When I first wrote my book, The Intuitive’s Toolbelt, I had no idea how I was going to promote it. The self-publishing company wanted $500 more, and I didn’t have it. I felt like I had hit a wall, stuck at a standstill. I asked my guides and angels for guidance, but nothing came.
Two weeks later, I was in a classroom during nap time, filling out daily forms, when I remembered Sonia Choquette—my spiritual idol and, unbeknownst to her, my teacher. Sonia had a Hay House Radio show. I grabbed my phone, tuned in, and listened. She was talking about living an intuitive life, and during the show, there was a portion where she took live callers.
I pressed the button to join the queue, not expecting anything to happen. Suddenly, a voice said, “Can I have your name and birthday?” I gave them my information, but at the same moment, parents came in to pick up their child. Normally, they were talkative, but this time they just grabbed their child, apologized, and left quickly, saying they had an appointment.
I went back to my desk to continue writing. I picked up my phone, half expecting to be disconnected, but to my surprise, I was still in the queue. Just then, Sonia said, “Help called.”
I said, “Hello.” She asked me how I was living an intuitive life, and I told her about my book. She asked for the name and then said to send her a copy—she would feature it in her newsletter! She said, “This is what happens when you follow your intuition—the universe surprises you.”
I gave her the address to send the book and thanked her as the call ended. Tears of joy filled my eyes. I shared what happened with my co-teacher, my mom, my dad, my sister, my brother—everyone.
I share this story because sometimes, you ask for guidance and don’t get it right away. But that doesn’t mean Spirit has “lost your file.” It’s just gathering all the cooperative components to make it happen—bigger and better than you could ever imagine.
