Today, approach life as a curious observer. This is an opportunity to get inquisitive about our current experiences and ask ourselves, “What must I believe to see and experience this?” When we ask this question with sincerity, it helps reveal the thoughts and ideas we’re focusing on, giving us the choice to either continue focusing on them or open to a new perspective.
Before we can make a shift, though, we need to acknowledge these active thoughts or beliefs and practice forgiving them. This doesn’t have to be a dramatic act; it can be as simple as saying, “I’m willing to forgive myself.” For instance, if you witness someone being rude to another person, you might first notice your reaction. Then, ask yourself, “What must I believe for this to feel true to me?” Perhaps you realize you hold beliefs like, “People are rude” or “Certain people are intolerant or impatient.” Once these beliefs are acknowledged, you can say, “I forgive myself for believing this. I’m willing to see this differently and ask for a miracle.” And that’s it.
You may notice an immediate shift or experience a more gradual one, but trust that you’ll begin to see and experience things in a new light.
