An open heart is a discerning heart, and a closed heart is a judgmental one. An open heart does not mean that you are gullible or naive; instead, it means that you are open to allowing yourself to be guided towards what is serving you and what is not. Judgment occurs when we close our hearts to the truth of who we are and others are, and instead identify them based on the stories we have made about them. An open heart allows spirit to flow and guide, while a closed heart does not, and only allows the separated mind, the ego, to be the guide. What experience do you want in your relationships: one of openness and mutual growth and communication, or one of secrets and hidden agendas?
