The ego loves to make enlightenment seem like if you reach it you will be special and have superpowers and the like. However, that's how the ego keeps you trapped in this endless loop of trying to be special.

The biggest illusion that the ego plays is specialness and if it can get you to play in that trying to be more special or trying to get special love from the divine then it will play with you.

Enlightenment is not about begin special it is about coming to the realization of what you are which then unlocks the (power) that you already had within you for you to realize what you in truth and the need to be more than that leaves and you are lite up from within
