In the vastness of mind, there’s a place outside of space and time—Where the true me resides, Sitting peacefully by the fireside.
It sits so calm, as still as can be, Inviting my emotions to come and just be. Love came shining, glowing bright, Laughing with glee, full of light, And sat down near the fire’s glow, Illustrious warmth in its flow.
But from the same space, cloaked in doom, Fear appeared, bringing shadowed gloom. Eyes darting left and right, Searching for danger in every sight, It, too, came to the fire's light.
My true self greeted both with calm hello’s, Then asked with serenity, “What stories do you bring to me?”Love spoke first, tender and free, But Fear interrupted, crying loudly, Telling tales of dread and dismay—Of running out of money, Of life slipping away.
Fear's voice grew shrill, its song long and dire, Claiming Paris is impossible, That dreams will expire. But Love just smiled, with flair and grace, Sending sparks through the air, Lighting up the space.
Fear shrank back but still carried on, Repeating its tales, Though the path felt long. But Love was patient, waiting to sing, A song of hope, calm, And everything will; be ok.
My true self listened, serene and still, While Fear conjured storms with all its will. Thunder roared, lightning flashed, But Love held my true selfs hand, Unafraid of Fear’s backlash.
Fear's voice grew distant, a fading sound, While Love’s sweet song continued to surround. In the quiet, it felt right, Resting again by the fire’s light. Waiting now for another emotion to rise, To sit by the fire, under calm skies.
